Image

Stores an image.

Accepts the following file formats:

• GIF
• JPG / JPEG
• PNG

File Storage

There are two levels for file storage:

• Record
• Field

The default file storage is Record.

When files are stored at the Record level, they are placed in a folder that is specific to the record, but shared between all fields in that record which are set to Record level storage. Thus in theory two different fields could reference the same stored file.

When files are stored at the Field level, they are in a separate folder dedicated to that field in the record. This allows separate fields to have files of the same name without conflict.

 

Sub Fields

When selected in the Table field configuration dialog, the following subfields can be populated:

• Size - the size of the file in bytes
• Type - the filetype
• Name - the name of the file
• Latitude - where the image was taken (as stored in the image EXIF data if available)
• Longitude - where the image was taken (as stored in the image EXIF data if available)
• Altitude - where the image was taken (as stored in the image EXIF data if available)

Sub Fields are treated as extra fields for use in Queries, named {fieldname}.{sub field}.
