clearString licensing

Licensing is designed to be simple and flexible, to maximize the opportunities for VARs and keep costs predictable.

• The fees charges by VARs can be as customised and complex as the VAR feels appropriate to their market: there is no restriction or policy on what a VAR charges their clients.
• The clearString system is licensed to the VAR “per Server”.
• This means each separate server needs its own clearString license. clearString licenses are available in versions limited by the number of sites they can run at the same time, or as an “unlimited sites” version. In either case, the practical limit of what can be run on a server is determined by the power of the server itself.
• clearString licenses are NOT charged to the VAR based on the number of users, amount of data, number of transactions, or any other metric.
• However, the VAR is free to use any of these metrics and more, as the basis of how they charge their clients. The system provides built-in telemetry and charging plan tools to manage this automatically for the VAR.
